Individual
Caregiver Assistance Program
(ICAP)
The
Individual Caregiver Assistance Program provides
financial assistance for household expenses to spousal cancer
caregivers in the Greater Phoenix area.
The Michael T. Flynn Foundation will assist with
household expenses for up to a 3 month period of time.
Eligible expenses include: rent, mortgage, water, electric, gas.
The
applicant must be the primary caregiver and be either the
spouse, fiance, fiancée or life partner of the cancer patient.
The couple must be having difficulty meeting household financial
obligations as a result of lost income (either caregiver’s or
cancer patient’s) or increased expenses brought on by reduced
ability to work due to cancer patient’s illness, treatments
and/or caregiving duties.
Approved
applicants will be assisted with utility bills, mortgage or rent
payments for up to 3 months; one time. These assistance
payments are considered grants, and will not exceed $600 in
total per approved applicant household.
